Eight gods and goddesses of the ancient Greek bestowed their gifts on unique human beings, forever setting them apart from others. In present day times, the witches and demons that stem that from those original humans must fine-tune their powers to reach their full potential. And there is only one place they can go
Run by Helena Achlys, The Achlys Academy is a school for those special few with powers beyond belief. However, not everyone wants a good outcome for their fellow students--or the world. Become a witch, pure-blooded and gifted. Or a demon, dark and powerful. Or perhaps a mixed blood witch. And just like in those ancient times, these witches have rivalries among their own. Will these rivalies tear them apart? Or will the darkness within get them first?
Term Begins
The Halloween Dance has welcomed our new students and teaches, and has welcomed back our past occupants. Classes will now begin. Beware: the school work is tough, but the drama is tougher.
If you want to play a canon, you must reserve one here first and then post your application. Before you reserve a canon, please be aware of all and any subplots your character may be apart of.

Canons
Coven
Lindsay Moss [played by Rachel Bilson] Subplot 001
Lindsay Moss is the queen bee. She's beautiful, smart, though not overly bookish, and she's popular. Linds is a fantastic leader; she's firm and decisive, although her decision are not always the best. But when it comes to leading a group of witches into battle, she's the girl to go to.
Brigid Valentine [played by Hayden Panettiere] Subplot 001
Meet Brigid Valentine. She's beautiful, arresting, breath-taking. Take your pick. But all the boys know it. As do the girls, and that's where the problem insues. With jealousy and hormones running through the air, who's the only one in control of her situation? Brigid Valentine.
Minerva Hazel [played by Kristen Bell] Subplot 001
Minerva Hazel is the best student of her year. Not only is she a straight A student, but she has a level head, always cool, calm and collected. Add that to the only Witch in the possible Coven to think logically, even when emotions and stress are running high, and you've got yourself the genuine article: a true, direct descendent of the very first Athena Witch.
Selene Cohen [played by Eliza Dushku] Subplot 001
Don't mess with Selene Cohen. You won't come back in one piece. Selene is tough, strong, always victorious and never taken advantage of. She doesn't trust anyone, she barely likes anyone and if you're of the male persuasion, then you'll have an even harder time just being in the same building as she is.
Mark Aiden [played by Heath Ledger] Subplot 001
Mark Aiden is the leader. Whatever he's doing: class project, dorm room, or even leading a coven of teen witches into facing the darkness. He makes good decisions, he's always in control and he knows what he's doing...always.
Robert Campbell [played by Hayden Christensen] Subplot 001
Robert Campbell is powerful, just like all the other direct descendents, just one problem. He's moody. And not just tantrum moody either; Rob can be happy, warm and friendly one minute, in complete control of his abilities, and then the next...he will lash out, physically, loudly and magically. Don't cross him.
Daniel Haunt [played by Drew Fuller] Subplot 001
Daniel Haunt is an ex demon. Brought up by his demonic parents, Dan was arrested by the Witch government after a particularly harsh project. He was under age, so he couldn't be prosecuted; instead, Daniel was sent to Achlys, under the eye of Helena. Though he is somewhat resentful of and bitter about the other witches, Daniel is a good person. Most of the other guys in the Coven don't treat him very well because of his demonic history.
Jake Kennedy [played by Jared Padalecki] Subplot 001
Jake Kennedy is good looking, good with the girls and fantastic in combat class. One problem, Jake has a major anger problem. Not in an unnecessary violent way, but annoy him just slightly and you'll get the worst of it. Watch out around him.
Furies
Alecto | Alexandra (Alex) Chase [played by Lauren Ambrose] Subplot 002
Alex Chase, real name Alecto, is apparently an Aphrodite Witch who transfered from England. In truth, she is an Aphrodite demon who was assigned to ensure that the Coven members do not join, and if possible, kill every one of them. Her speciality is controlling how people feel and react, generally by fuelling their anger. Alecto gets angry easily, and will vent that anger on the first witch she sees.
Megaera | Megan (Meg) Chase [played by Emilie de Ravin] Subplot 002
Megan Chase, sister of Alex, is actually Megaera. She is an Athena demon who is on the same mission as Alecto is. Her powers include teleportation, dark energy control and conjuring. She gets jealous faster than even a Hera witch. This jealousy is her motivation to destroying the eight Coven members, in hope to gain their powers. Tisiphone | Theresa (Tessa) Chase [played by Kristen Kreuk] Subplot 002
Tessa Chase, the alias of the Ares demon Tisiphone, is known to be a very good combatant. But her abilities span much further than just physical power and aggression. Her destructive powers have been practiced and concentrated so well that she can kill a buliding full of people, as well as simply kill someone by stopping their heart.
Students Rachel Larson [played by Emmy Rossum] Subplot 003
This junior witch is an Aphrodite and proud. She's calm, collected, and experienced with guys. Though a bit stuck up, she has a good heart, and just wants to have fun. However, she can be a bit too much of a partier, and is actually famed for the bashes she throws. She's been going to Achlys since her Freshman year. One of her best traits is that she's a very loyal friend.
Luke Northing [played by Chad Michael Murray] Subplot 003 & 005
A Senior, Luke is a bit of a bad boy. He's an Ares, and he tends to get in trouble a lot. However, he's also a bit of a closet romantic, and usually a loyal boyfriend... Rachel's boyfriend, to be exact. Still, he's a deep thinker, and doesn't talk too often. He's got a short temper though, and is prone to violent outbursts. He, like his girlfriend, has been going to Achlys since his Freshman year.
Brenna Elliot [played by Alicia Witt] Subplot 003 & 004
Though this is only her second year of Achlys, Brenna's quickly become Rachel's best friend. She's an Athena, and a bit shy. Very intellectual. She isn't sure how to talk to boys, and tends to have her nose in a book. Generally, she has to be pushed to do something social. It's very hard for her to talk about how she really feels about things, and she tends to keep her emotions bottled up.
Cody Bryant [played by Adam Brody] Subplot 004
A junior, Cody's a nerdy Poseidon. He talks a lot, and is a bit of a babbler. However, this guy isn't an outsider. Everyone sort of likes him in a way, and since he isn't a strong guy, they're all quick to defend him. However, he can be very judgmental at times, almost to an obnoxious point. Still, he just wants to be a friend to everyone, someone to talk to. He's very selective with the girls he likes.
Lila Kendall [played by Hilarie Burton] Subplot 004
Junior Lila is popular. Very popular. A Hera, she's a bit combative at times, but knows when to stop. She hates Hades witches, but won't tell anyone. She's very athletic, and always likes a challenge. Never in her time at Achlys (since Freshman year, like most) has she stuck to a guy for more than two months, but not because she's a very friendly person. She just prefers to be free... Though she has another reason.
Darcey Northing [played by Ashley Olsen] Subplot 005
A Sophomore, Hera witch Darcey is Luke's younger sister. She hates it when he's protective of her, and she's a bit of a social climber. She tends to hang out with people she probably shouldn't.... But heck if she cares. Her grades fail, and she breaks rules, but she doesn't care. She's an 'extreme' dater, and already a heartbreaker at 15.
Aaron Johnstone [played by Benjamin Mckenzie] Subplot 005
A Junior Zeus, Aaron is, to put it quite simply, a player. He's never found a girl he's loved, and he tends to toy with peoples' emotions. He also hates Luke Northing. (The hate is mutual.) However, this guy has a different side, one who wants to find someone he can stick with...

Artemis. You'll have to change your ava and display name, just so you know. And welcome! I'll reserve her for you. For future reference, y'all, the color that the charrie's description is matches their group. The key is up on the welcome board.

OK, cool, thanks--just add on Selene's last name as well, please. And then I think you can just start with her app. Need any help, feel free to ask me or Helena for whatever. We're here to help.

Awesome, a new member Also, I changed the key from italics to green, because I can barely see the italics and don't want to cause any confusion with other members.
The maximum amount of characters you can play are five (and yes, they must all be on different accounts). All those characters can be canons if you'd like (I dont really mind), but I'd prefer if you didn't play characters that were in the same subplot (otherwise you'd just be rp-ing yourself and that's no fun)

I'd like to reserve Brenna Elliot. I'm getting rid of Jazz, so I can start playing her once that's over with. I'm just into canons at the moment, and I can't find anything to do with Jazz. She's just dormant, and I don't see the point of keeping her.
